Shinrin-yoku (from Japanese) literally means “forest bathing.” How can the concept, rooted in peaceful communion with nature, be translated into architectural design? Design Anatomy achieves this by creating inspiring, sustainable spaces where light, textures, and natural materials harmonize. The spaces we inhabit should positively influence our senses and well-being, bringing harmony and balance into our lives.
Here are the key aspects of this concept in interior design: natural materials, indoor plants, nature-inspired colors, natural light and warm, diffused artificial light that mimics it, sounds of nature, minimalism, organic shapes.
Following this concept, Design Anatomy has designed spaces such as the lobby in the Olivia Prime B building.
